Young Savers

Credit unions in the UK have many young savers  encouraging them from a young age to get into the saving habit. And, by being members of the Credit Union, they will have the opportunity when they most need it - such as when they go to university, or buy their first car.

Members under the age of 18 may not borrow  from the Credit Union.

Parents or grandparents may open accounts in a child’s name.

The maximum amount they may save is also limited to £10,000. There is no membership fee for young savers.
