How to Join
How can I join?
Any member of the Oddfellows, or a member of the same household who is a relative, can be a member of the Manchester Unity Credit Union.
Simply request or download an application form and complete and send it together with identification documents (see form for details) Download here
An annual membership fee is payable, and will be deducted from your shares when due. You can download a Credit Union application form here
Non Members
New members can join both the Oddfellows and the Credit Union for a monthly contribution of £7 per month which entitles you to the benefits of both organisations. You will need to complete both application forms which are available here
How much do I have to save?
A minimum of £5 per month.. For your convenience you can pay by standing order ( you can download a form from this web site).
Other payment methods may be available in your area -
The maximum value of shares (savings) a member may hold is currently £10,000.
Young Savers
Credit unions in the UK have many young savers encouraging them from a young age
to get into the saving habit. And, by being members of the Credit Union, they will
have the opportunity when they most need it -
Members under the age of 18 may not borrow from the Credit Union.
Parents or grandparents may open accounts in a child’s name.
The maximum amount they may save is also limited to £10,000. There is no membership fee for young savers.
